Educational use only
CalcToPlan is an educational website. All calculators, articles, planning tools, and financial estimates on this site are provided for general informational and educational purposes only. They are designed to help you understand financial concepts, explore hypothetical scenarios, and prepare for conversations with qualified professionals.
Nothing on CalcToPlan constitutes, or should be treated as, financial advice, investment advice, tax advice, legal advice, credit advice, insurance advice, retirement advice, or any other form of professional advice regulated under Indian law or the laws of any other jurisdiction.
Results are estimates, not guarantees
Every number produced by a CalcToPlan calculator is a mathematical estimate based solely on the inputs you provide and simplified assumptions built into the formula. These results:
- Do not represent a guaranteed return, savings amount, or financial outcome
- Do not account for market volatility, drawdowns, or sequence-of-returns risk
- Are not a quote, offer, sanction, commitment, or recommendation from any financial institution
- Do not reflect fees, taxes, exit loads, expense ratios, or other charges unless explicitly stated
- Assume a fixed rate of return, which rarely holds in practice
Small changes in return rate, inflation assumption, contribution amount, or tenure can significantly change the projected outcome. Always test multiple scenarios before drawing conclusions.
Not a substitute for professional advice
Calculator results are planning aids, not recommendations. Before making any significant financial decision — including starting or stopping an investment, taking a loan, planning for retirement, or purchasing insurance — you should consult a qualified and registered professional. This includes:
- A SEBI-registered Investment Adviser (RIA) for investment decisions
- A Chartered Accountant (CA) for tax planning and filing
- A licensed financial planner for holistic financial planning
- A bank, NBFC, or lender for any loan or credit decision
- An IRDAI-licensed advisor for insurance recommendations
Scheme rules and rates change
Several calculators on CalcToPlan cover government-backed schemes including PPF, SSY, EPF, and NPS. The interest rates, contribution limits, eligibility rules, tax treatment, and withdrawal conditions for these schemes are set by the Government of India and relevant regulatory authorities. These can change at any time. CalcToPlan does not guarantee that the default rates or rules shown in our calculators reflect the current or future rules. Always verify scheme details directly with the relevant authority — EPFO, PFRDA, your bank, or the Ministry of Finance — before making decisions.
Market returns are not guaranteed
Calculators covering SIP, lump sum, NPS, SWP, and similar market-linked products use a return rate that you enter. Past performance of mutual funds, equity markets, or any other asset class does not guarantee future returns. The actual return on any market-linked investment may be lower or higher than what you enter, and in adverse conditions may be negative. CalcToPlan takes no responsibility for investment losses arising from reliance on any projected figure.
Tax treatment is not modelled
Unless explicitly stated, CalcToPlan calculators do not deduct income tax, capital gains tax (LTCG or STCG), TDS, surcharge, cess, or any other applicable tax from projected results. The actual post-tax outcome of any investment, withdrawal, or sale will differ from the pre-tax figures shown. Tax laws change frequently — always consult a CA or tax advisor for tax planning.
